Ethel Goldberg

WATERBURY – Ethel (Leopold) Goldberg, 97, died Wednesday May 1, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Leo Goldberg who died in 2018.
Mrs. Goldberg was born December 31, 1921, in Waterbury, one of five children of the late Louis and Ida (Medin) Leopold. She was a lifelong Waterbury resident where she was active in all aspects of the Jewish life.
Mrs. Goldberg is survived by her children Richard and his wife Roanne of Arlington, MA; her daughters Brina Goldberg of Waterbury and Joan Murdock of Corvalis, OR; her grandchildren Jed Murdock and Jon Murdock-Claire. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goldberg is predeceased by her siblings Raymond, Sydney, Nathan, Francis and Renia.
Arrangements – A memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 14, 2019 at 12:15 pm at B'Nai Israel Temple, 444 Main St. North, Southbury. Shiva observance will be held on May 6, 2019 at 7 pm at B'Nai Israel Temple. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Melchizedek Cemetery. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to B'Nai Israel Temple.
