Elizabeth Mary Salomoni
NAUGATUCK- Elizabeth Mary (Stoica) Salomoni passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. She was the loving wife of Joseph John Salomoni whom she was married to for 63 years, and married at St. Raphael Church on October 3, 1953.
Liz was born in Portland on December 19, 1932 daughter of the late Theodore and Elena (Micu) Stoica. She was a resident of Bridgeport for 60 years until moving to Naugatuck.
She was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1950 and the Felt and Torrant Comptroller School. Liz was a member of the St. Peter Altar and Rosary Society, the Subalpino Ladies Auxiliary, and was a bowler on both bowling teams. Liz loved the outdoors especially in her flower gardens, and visiting St. Mary’s by the sea in Bridgeport.
Besides her husband she is survived by her three sons Joseph John and his wife Susan Salomoni of Shelton, and their children Gina and her husband Matthew Gouveia, and Leah Salomoni; Mark Paul and his wife Michele Salomoni of Naugatuck, and their children Melissa and her husband Dean Ebdon, and Michael Salomoni; and Paul Vincent and his wife Chantal Salomoni of Bridgeport, and their children Luc and Claudine Salomoni.
Arrangements- A Mass of Christian of Burial for Mrs. Salomoni will be held 9:30 A.M, Saturday December 3, 2016, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St, Naugatuck, CT 06770. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Harvester Rd, Easton, CT 06612. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St, 06770 is assisting the family with the arrangements. Donations in her name may be made to Project Purple, 94A North Main St, Beacon Falls, CT 06403, www.run4projectpurple.org.
