NAUGATUCK- Mr. Edward Francis Logan, 85, of Naugatuck, CT., passed away Wednesday morning April 20, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Margaret T. (Fitzgerald) Logan, who passed Nov. 19. 2012, after 55 years of marriage.

Mr. Logan was born in Greenwich, CT., Dec. 3, 1930, a son of the late John and Theresa (Keller) Logan and was a graduate of Rye High School. Following High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1949 serving during the Korean War. Following basic training in Great Lakes, Ill. He was stationed aboard the USS Des Moines (CA-134) and the USS Roanoke (CL-145) being discharge in 1953 as a Fireman 1-C. He was a retired employee with Williamson Transportation Co., retiring after many years of service. He had been a Naugatuck resident for the past 19 years, moving here from Port Chester, N.Y. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Naugatuck.

He leaves 3 daughters, Debra A. Logan of Stamford, Laurie A. Logan and Kelly F. Coddington both of Naugatuck; one brother John Logan of Texas; 4 grandchildren, Lauren Kaloidis and her husband Vasi of Waterbury, Tara Lyons, Sean Lyons and Judith Coddington all of Naugatuck. He was predeceased by a daughter, Judith M. Logan.

His funeral will be held on Saturday April 23rd, 2016 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 260 Westchester Ave., Port Chester, N.Y. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1 High St., Rye Brook, N.Y. 10573. Visitation will be on Friday April. 22nd , 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Craft Memorial Home, 40 Leicester St., Port Chester, N.Y. 10573. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is assisting the family with the arrangements. There are no local calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
