Edgar Arroyo

WATERBURY- Edgar Arroyo was born in Waterbury on September 28, 1955 to Mrs. America Arroyo and the late Mr. Antonio Arroyo. He was predeceased by his son Daniel Arroyo.

Edgar attended local schools and graduated from Kaynor Technical High School in 1973. He served his apprenticeship program requirements in the tool and die maker trade and gained his license as a Master Journeyman tool and Die Maker. Edgar worked for local manufacturers until his illness.

Edgar loved to tell jokes and always had a story to tell. He had a laugh that was contagious and knew how to make you smile. He enjoyed weekend getaways, going to the beach, reading, music, and rebuilding computer systems.

Edgar had a good heart and loved his family deeply. To his mother America Arroyo, he was always a caring and loving son, taking her on trips and visiting with her on a daily basis.

Besides his mother, Edgar leaves his most cherished memories with his companion, Edith Gonzalez. A son, Adrian Arroyo and a daughter, Christina Arroyo. He also leaves behind his three siblings Otto Arroyo, Alba Vazquez, and Neva Arroyo who were his confidants, and best friends.

His greatest joy was his grandchildren. The love he had for his five grandchildren and great-grandson was extraordinary and they were and will always be the light of his life.

Edgar will be greatly missed by all, especially by his nephews, nieces and closest friends. He led a life of laughter and love, overcoming obstacles and hard work.

Arrangements- His wonderful spirit and joy will be celebrated on Monday October 13, 2014 from 4 to 7 P.M at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710. Burial will follow at the convenience of the family.
