Doris W. Smith

BEACON FALLS- Mrs. Doris Smith, 89, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2014 at the Paradigm Health Center of Waterbury. She was the loving wife of Austin J. Smith whom she was married to for sixty six years.

She was born on December 24, 1924 to the late Harold and Alice Wilcox of Beacon Falls.

Doris was a graduate of Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing where she worked for many years, and later worked for BCB Medical Group as a Nurse and Office Manager.

Mrs. Smith family would like to thank the staff at Paradigm Healthcare of Waterbury for the tender care Doris received during her stay.

Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters Nancy L. Hammond of Chicago, IL, and Debra and her husband Robert Antonioli of Plymouth; two sisters Beverly Krenesky of Beacon Falls, and June and her husband Arthur Tucker of Bloomfield; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son James A. Smith.

Arrangements- Funeral Services for Doris will be private and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
