Diane Carrano

Cheshire ' Diane Carrano, 60, of Merwin Circle passed away Friday December 19, 2008 at her home. She was the wife of Paul Carrano.

Mrs. Carrano was born September 7, 1948 in Bridgeport the daughter of Dorothy (Michaels) Drews and the late Emil E. Drews. She was a long time Cheshire resident having spent her childhood in Shelton.

Mrs. Carrano graduated from Southern Connecticut State University obtaining her MA, Masters and sixth year degrees in Special Education. She was a Special Education Teacher for the West Haven School System for over 29 years.

Besides her husband of 36 years and her mother, Mrs. Carrano is survived by her son Jared of Brooklyn; her daughter Kelly Greco and her husband Corey of Wallingford; her brother Daniel Drews and his wife Kathy of Madison; and her sister Debbie Kruczek and her husband Richard of Meriden.

Arrangements ' A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 10, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale Ave., Memphis, TN 38105. The Slater Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
