CLERMONT, FL - David Michael Cunningham Sr. passed away peacefully on April 23, 2013 at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Judy (Birge) Cunningham of Clermont, FL, formerly of Cheshire. He was born in South Bend, IN on December 22, 1936 to the late Richard John and Mary Gladys (Lahey) Cunningham. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in South Bend and obtained a Bachelor Degree from Fairfield University in 1959. He was employed at DNE for 33 years and was an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus, having served in the Canoga Park, CA, Milford, CT and Clermont, FL councils. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 5 years.

Besides his wife Judy of 55 years, he is survived by children, David, Jr. (Mary Noel) Cunningham of San Dimas, CA, Shaun (Marina Vogel) Cunningham of Santa Barbara, CA, Michele (Sean) Kaplan of Wolcott, CT, Marylou Cunningham of Cheshire, CT, and Kathleen (Bill) Longley, Southington, CT; his seven grandchildren Alex and Connor Kaplan, Carolyn, Katie and Randi Cunningham, Tyler and Kristen Longley; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his two brothers, John and Robert and sister Mary Ann.

Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013, 9 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to St. Thomas Becket Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meriden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mike Conley Hospice House, 2100 Oakley Seaver Rd., Clermont, FL 34711.
