Daniel C. 'Dan' Amici
Daniel C. Amici, age 48, of North Stonington, loving father and tremendous husband passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Westerly Hospital in Rhode Island. He was the devoted husband of Jeannette Bruno Amici and the awesome dad of Daniel R. Amici and step-son Luis Olivencia. Dan was born on July 28, 1966 in Waterbury, CT, son of the late Salvatore “Dick” and Mary (Duffy) Amici.
Dan, a caring and earnest father and husband, was an accomplished athlete and graduate of Holy Cross High School in Waterbury, where he won several sporting awards and still currently holds the Track and Field high jump record. He was the Co-owner and Operator of Wheel Estates, Inc. Dan was a fisherman and outdoorsman; he loved cruising the ocean and back pond, fishing, clamming and spearfishing; and enjoyed swimming at the Westerly YMCA and walking the Greens Falls Trail in North Stonington with his beloved dogs. He was full of life and such an exceptional father and husband, that he was admired and looked up to by all of his nephews and friends.
In addition to Jeannette, Daniel and Luis, Dan is survived by his siblings; Louis A. Amici of Waterbury; Dawn Borecki and her husband Rich of Cheshire; Steven Amici and his wife Heather of Vero Beach, FL; Michael Amici of Waterbury; Jonathan Amici of Waterbury; and several nieces and nephews.

Dan’s funeral procession will leave from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410 on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 10:15AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM in the Church of the Epiphany, 1750 Huckins Road, Cheshire. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 4PM to 7PM. At the request of his family, memorial contributions may be made to a fund setup for Daniel's future education at: People's United Bank, c/o Daniel R. Amici, 275 Highland Avenue, Cheshire, CT 06410.
