Daisy S. Bissell

Daisy S. Bissell, age 84, of Cheshire entered into rest on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Cheshire Regional Rehab Center. She was the devoted wife of the late John William Bissell for 60 years. Daisy was born on April 28, 1931 in Staten Island, NY, daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Koonce) Saunders.

Daisy made a wonderful home for her husband and girls, family was her life. She enjoyed reading, especially riverside while Bill would fish. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She is the beloved mother of Deborah DeMunda and her husband Thomas of Merritt Island, FL and Diane Eissler of Cheshire; loving grandmother of Karl Eissler, William Eissler and Jessica Lyons, Todd DeMunda, his wife, Lauren and their children, Violet and Charlotte and Eric DeMunda and his wife Jessica. Daisy is also survived by her brother, Paul Lemar and his wife, Barbara of Swansboro, NC and her best friend of over 60 years, Lorraine Butler of Cheshire, whom served as a second mother to Debbie and Diane. She was predeceased by her sisters; Marcia Buchanan and Katie Hamilton.

Services for Daisy will be private and at the convenience of her family. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire has been entrusted with her arrangements.
