Collette Brooks

Collette J. Brooks, 77 of Cook Hill Rd. passed away on Sunday April 19, 2009 at the Elim Park Baptist Home. She was the wife of the late Robert B. Brooks.

Mrs. Brooks was born on April 26, 1931 in Stamford Ct. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Potash) Ruddy. She worked as a receptionist for the Pitney Bowes Co. until her retirement.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by two sons Robert and his wife Diane Brooks of Ocean View, Delaware and Mathew Brooks of Wilmington, North Carolina. Four daughters, Marilee and her husband Ron Gee of Southern Pines, North Carolina, Cheryl and her husband Doug Moore of Mount Dora, Florida, Susan and her husband Tom Siciliano of Cheshire and Barbara and her husband Terry Duffy of Danbury. She also leaves one brother Gary Ruddy of Florida and two sisters Lorraine Maffei of Fairfield and Patricia Mallia of North Syracuse NY. She also leaves six loving grandchildren Nicole, Michael, Jake, Casey, Andrew and Brian.

Arrangements; Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 23, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Elim Park in Nelson Hall, 150 Cook Hill Rd, Cheshire. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday April 22, 2009 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Slater Funeral Home 242 So. Main St., Cheshire.
