WALLINGFORD---C. Reed Davis, 61, passed away at his residence on Sunday, November 19, 2017 after a brief illness.

Mr. Davis was born December 24, 1955 in Richmond, VA the last son of the late Barbara (Gregg) Davis and Jack J. Davis.

Mr. Davis moved to Cheshire in 1958 with his family and until recently lived in Cheshire and considered himself a life-long resident. Reed graduated from Cheshire High School in 1974 and received an Associate’s Degree from Wesley College, Dover, Delaware in 1976. He was employed by Floral Glass Company for most of his career and was General Manager for many years.

Reed was a member of the Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department in his younger years and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He attended the 1986 Super Bowl in New Orleans and was a Patriot season ticket holder for many years.

Reed is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law Claire and Jeffrey Gregg Davis of Branford, Cheri and Richard B. Davis of Torrance, CA, daughter Samantha Trevethan of Naples, FL, niece Margaret Davis of Emeryville, CA, and Uncle Robert L. Davis of Cincinnati. There are many surviving cousins in New York, Connecticut, Ohio and Florida.

Reed is also survived by many friends who he considered his family that he loved and appreciated very much.

Donations in Reed’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
