Christine Sechow

WATERBURY - Christine E. Sechow, 89, passed away September 4, 2011 at Wolcott View Manor in Wolcott.

Ms. Sechow was born June 25, 1922 in Waterbury the daughter of the late Jacob and Emma (Reihl) Sechow. She was a longtime Waterbury resident where she was a member of the Mill Plain Union Church. She was retired from the American Bank of CT, where she worked as a teller. She was known by her family as a good and gentle person. She had a smile for everyone and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Ms. Sechow is survived by her sister Dorothy Sechow of Waterbury; her nieces and nephews Elnora McIsaac, Elaine Pierce, Jeanette Collette, Jack Dupreay, Geraldine Thomas, Robert Salerno, Linda LeBarge, Christopher Sechow, and Stephen Sechow; as well as seventy grandnieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings Louise Cook, Athelia Dupreay, Frederick Sechow, Philip Sechow, and Elizabeth Salerno.

Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 7, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. Burial will follow in Old Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday morning from 8:30 until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice
