TORRINGTON- Carl A. Gay, 76, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday November 3, 2011 at his residence. He was predeceased by his wife Noreen M. Gay.
He was born December 29, 1934 in Waterbury, son of the late Carl R. and Dorothy (Dow) Gay.
Carl was a member of the United States Marine Corp. He was employed at New Departure as a Mill Wright prior to his retirement.
He is survived by a daughter Tracy N. Gay of New Hartford; a son Thomas Gay of Bridgeport; a daughter in law Bonnie M. Gay of Southington; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren of Southington; a sister in law Dorothy McGrath of North Carolina; two brothers David Gay of Waterbury, and Howard Gay of New York; and several nieces and nephews. Carl was predeceased by three sons David, Carl R., Gary M. Gay.
Arrangements- Calling hours for Carl will be held Monday November 7, 2011 at The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710 from 9 A.M until the time of the service at 11 A.M at the funeral home. Burial with full Military Honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 850 Meriden Road, Waterbury, 06705. In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to The American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312, or to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
