Billie Miller

MIDDLEBURY; Mrs. Billie K. (Kegel) Miller, 94 of Middlebury passed away Thursday October 6, 2011 at Saint Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of John F. Miller.

Mrs. Miller was born October 22, 1916 in Edmeston, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph Fred and Mary J. (Rutherford) Kegel and has been a Middlebury resident since 1951. She was a graduate of Ilion High School in Ilion, NY and was involved with the Girl Scouts for many years. She was also an active volunteer at the Middlebury Public Library and with the greater Waterbury Head Start. Mrs. Miller was a Communicant of Saint John of the Cross Church.

She leaves eight nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday October 15 at 10 a.m. at Saint John of the Cross Church 1089 Whittemore Road in Middlebury. Burial will be at the convenience of her family. There are no calling hours. If desired memorial contributions may be made to Saint John of the Cross Church or to the Middlebury Public Library 30 Crest Road Middlebury, CT 06762. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury 9 Holmes Avenue has care of arrangements.
