NAUGATUCK - Beverly Ann (Seekins) Sweet, 82, passed away peacefully at Waterbury Hospital on May 17, 2016. She was surrounded by her husband of 63 years and her loving family. Beverly was born June 15, 1933, in St. Albans, ME, daughter of the late Herbert L. and Harriet M. (Small) Seekins.

Beverly lived in Naugatuck for 64 years and worked at Peter and Paul, was a bookkeeper for the Naugatuck Daily News, was a real estate agent for Manny Vieira and a Secretary for the United Methodist Church of Naugatuck. She enjoyed singing in the choir and was a member of numerous church committees. Beverly was also a volunteer at Waterbury Hospital and a member of Eastern Star (Evergreen Chapter). She was a Den Mother and Cub Scout leader.

Beverly had a passion for horse racing, golf and football. She seldom missed a Patriots game. "GO Pats!" Beverly loved animals, especially horses, she was an avid reader and enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.

Besides her loving husband of 63 years, Dale E. Sweet of Naugatuck, she leaves two sons, Dale L. Sweet and his wife Gale (Battiste) Sweet of Naugatuck and Warren E. Sweet and his wife Cynthia (Battiste) Sweet of Naugatuck, two daughters, Laurel A. (Sweet) Rek and her husband Eugene Rek of Oakville and Lisa J. (Sweet) Santoro and her husband Michael Santoro of Prospect, twelve grandchildren, Dale Sweet Jr. of Prospect, Tiffany (Sweet) Ryan of Naugatuck, Brandon Sweet of Farmington, Carina Sweet of Naugatuck, Nicole Sweet of New Haven, Warren Sweet Jr. of Plainville, Ryan Sweet of Naugatuck, Kimberly Rek of Rocky Hill, Ashley Rek of Oakville, Katherine Santoro, David Santoro and James Santoro of Prospect and nine great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Beacon Brook Health Center and Waterbury Hospital ICU for their compassion, caring and support.

Arrangements: A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Beverly A. Sweet to the United Methodist Church, 214 Meadow Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770 or to Waterbury Hospital, 64 Robbins Street, Waterbury, CT 06708. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is assisting the family with the arrangements.
