Attorney Daniel Noonan
WATERBURY- Attorney Daniel J. Noonan, 95, of Waterbury passed away Thursday September 8, 2011 at Wolcott View Manor.
He was born August 18, 1916 in Waterbury son of the late Attorney Michael J. and Honora (O'Rourke) Noonan.
Mr. Noonan attended St. Mary's and St. Margaret's Parochial School, and Crosby High School. He proceeded to the College of the Holy Cross, and studied law at Columbia University, and The University of Connecticut School of Law.
Attorney Noonan worked for The Travelers Insurance Company as staff counsel and later became a stockbroker working for the firm of Hincks Brothers Co, and was a Corporator of the St.Mary's Hospital Foundation.
Attorney Noonan was a U.S Army veteran serving in World War II, and a well traveled scholar. Mr. Noonan studied courses at Cambridge University while in his seventies.
Daniel had many great friends throughout his life. He is survived by several cousins and several old friends including Dennis and Peggy Jackson and Dr. Joseph and Regina Daly.
Arrangements- Attorney Noonan's funeral will be held 9:15 A.M Tuesday September 13, 2011 from the Mulville Funeral Home, 270 West Main Street, Waterbury, 06702 to St. Margaret's Church, 289 Willow St, Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in Old St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday September 12, 2011 from 5 to 7 P.M at the funeral home. Donations in Attorney Noonan's name may be made to The St. Mary's Hospital Foundation, 56 Franklin St, Waterbury, 06706.
