Ann K. Smith

Ann K. Smith (Anderson), 82, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021, surrounded by her children. She was the wife of the late Myron "Mike" Smith.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, William and Loretta Sheehy, her two brothers, William Sheehy and John Sheehy. She grew up in Waterbury.

Ann was the loving mother of six children, Steven Anderson (Lydia) of Wolcott, CT, Mark Anderson (Anna), Holyoke, MA, Susan Hennessey (Dave), Georgetown, DE, Todd Anderson (Maureen), Milton, VT, Linda Vial (Rob), Estero, FL, Jeff Anderson (Barbara), CA, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Ann was an avid tennis player and was still serving aces well into her 70's. Her passion for tennis was only surpassed by her thirst for adventure. She and Mike loved to travel and visited places like Africa, Egypt, France, Ireland, Israel, Bali, and many cruises. Her wry sense of humor and rambunctious laugh will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 26th at 10:30 am at Hillside Cemetery, 166 Wallingford Rd., Cheshire, Connecticut.
