Anita Ford

WATERBURY- Mrs. Anita C. (Poli) Ford, age 87, of East Gate Apartments, widow of Howard T. Ford, died on January 1, 2016 at Village Green Nursing Home after a short illness.

Mrs. Ford was born in Waterbury on April 20th, 1928 to the late Angelo and Lena (Pesente) Poli. She lived most of her life in Middlebury moving to Waterbury in later years. She enjoyed driving to Vermont to spend time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Doug Ford of Hinesburg, VT and his wife Pam. She was the proud grandmother of Brian, Kevin and Kate. She is also survived by her devoted sister Sylvia Grabowski, of Waterbury and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ford was predeceased by her sisters Marie Morrone and Enes Mecca.

Arrangements- There will be no visiting hours upon her request. Graveside services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710, is assisting with the arrangements.
