Albert Steigler

CHESHIRE - Albert Steigler Jr., 76, passed away July 5, 2010 at his residence. He was the husband of Sally (Malone) Steigler.

Mr. Steigler was born June 6, 1934 in Irvington, NJ the son of the late Albert L. and Ethel (Steele) Steigler Sr. He attended the University of New Haven and was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Connecticut State Police for several years and had also worked for American Cyanamid as well as an Insurance Investigator for Equifax.

Besides his wife of 54 years, Mr. Steigler is survived by his grandson Christopher of Baton Rouge, LA and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Stewart "Petey" Steigler.

Arrangements - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday July 9, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Becket Church 435 North Brooksvale Road, Cheshire. Burial will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield, LA. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 5 Brookside Drive, P.O. Box 5022, Wallingford, CT 06492. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. is assisting with arrangements.
